Make Your House a Home - Foster Carers Needed across Cornwall
"Fostering is so rewarding, it's the best thing we ever did since our children left home" Lynn and Jake
Could fostering be your next challenge?
Right now over 10,000 more carers are needed to provide a safe, stable home for vulnerable children and young people in your area.
Fostering takes energy, enthusiasm and the willingness to make a full-time commitment to fostering. If you have previously fostered, have experience in working with children and young people with complex needs, or have relevant transferable skills then we want to hear from you. We offer a variety of placements and in addition to looking for carers for one child/young person, we also need carers for a parent and their child, or sibling children in both cases providing a better chance to stay together.
There are many different types of placements we can offer to foster carers and some are mentiond here. For example we are looking for carers who can offer short breaks for families with children who have disabilities.
We are also looking for Parent and Child foster carers to provide a mum or dad and their child/ren a safe and secure environment for a while in your home; mentoring them and passing on your skills to help them become successful parents.
Respite care is a key ingredient in the success of our placements and we are now interested in hearing from applicants who can offer short-term cover or are prepared to take a child 'out of hours' in an emergency."
Specialist Fostering Placements
We are particularly looking for foster carers for children and young people who have previously been living in residential care and who would benefit from the chance to live as part of a family in a fully supported fostering placement. We also want to hear from people who are interested in offering parent and child foster placements to give parents and their children the best chance of being able to remain together.
