THE COMPANY:
We are a global manufacturer of grocer products with our range including some of the most widely recognised brands within the UK marketplace.
Our foodservice division specialises in meeting the needs of our foodservice clients across both profit and cost sectors including hotels, restaurants, contract caterers, schools and education.
Our product range consists mainly of leading ambient brands, many of which are essential lines in the eyes of most head chefs and contract catering managers.

Whether our client is a national hotel chain or an independent coffee shop, we aim to work consultatively to recommend and promote the strongest brands suitable for their target market.
Due to dynamic plans for 2011, we are seeking to develop our dedicated foodservice team through the addition of several sales professionals.

THE ROLE:
As a key part of our sales team you will be responsible for promoting brands to end users across a designated geographical territory.
You will be developing relationships at head chef and contract catering manager level across your region with a view to increasing individual customer spend on our product lines.
As we work extremely closely with our wholesale partners across the UK you will be responsible for taking orders and backselling these through our wholesale distribution channels.
This is an extremely hands on position and will require regular demonstrations of our product with the end users to provide them of a strong understanding of how these brands will benefit their business.
The main focus of the roles will be to retain and develop existing business although you will also be targeted at adding new clients to the area.
You will be responsible for your own journey plan, making on average 6-8 calls a day

THE APPLICANT.
We are ideally seeking to speak to proven sales professionals with experience selling into the foodservice and catering sector.
* Candidates must be able to demonstrate a proven track record in sales at Head Chef or contract catering manager level.
* Candidates with strong skills in food costing and menu planning are preferred.
* Candidates must have strong business development skills and drive to achieve new business.
* A background working for a foodservice food manufacturer or wholesaler is preferable although candidates with a strong sales background in other sectors and a passion for foodservice will also be considered.
* Candidates must be driven, energetic sales professionals able to plan and implement their own journey plan.
