Our client, a leading manufacturer within the FMCG sector, is looking for an interim HR Officer to provide support and assistance to their existing HR Manager. This 11 month contract is a very demanding position in a fast pace environment within a business employing a comprehensively large workforce. Responsible for the recruitment and retention of permanent, temporary and agency staff you will be working with the Training Officer to ensure the appropriate induction and training of employees and workers are met for the safety and skills needed for the business. You will be expected to support the Site HR Manager in any change management initiatives that may exist and ensure appropriate succession planning to meet the future needs of the business. You will also be responsible for developing effective employee relations.

The successful candidate will be computer literate with good knowledge of excel, have fast and accurate keyboard skills, sound planning and organisational skills, be able to deal with all aspects of HR up to officer level and experience of dealing with multi national employees and work councils. Use of computerised databases such as Time & Attendance or HR systems will be involved.
