Enterprise Information Manager

Role purpose
-To develop, own, implement a fit for purpose, modern Enterprise Information Strategy
-To effectively manage all of the Information Governance (IG) elements under IS control. Including Data Protection compliance and Records Management best practice
-To provide robust and visible Risk Management of all known Information Governance risk
-To establish good working relationships with Members, Chief Execs, Computer Audit, Shared Services and other key groups within the council, in order to ensure that there is a consensus and support for the IG agenda that needs to be progressed
-To contribute to and manage the Authoritys compliant status with the PSN on associated IG matters
-To support and deliver IG elements for alignment with ISO 27002 practice with the intention of both improving general standards and ultimately achieving full, formal ISO 27001:2005 accreditation for the Authority
-To continually proactively reassess and wherever possible mitigate IG based risks based on well informed, contemporary information
-To ensure effective and efficient incident response
-To engage and work with the wider business to establish, sound, best practice policies and procedures aligned with Enterprise Information Strategy
-To provide advice, raise awareness and progress appropriate user awareness training of IG issues
-Enable the authority to realise value from its information assets
-Lead on IG matters pertaining to partnership working within the public sector and beyond in line with the requirements of the authority

-Ensure compliance and accreditations across the required areas (i.e.. PSN, ISO27001, IGSoC, DPA,)
-Develop and maintain policies, standards, and governance
-Provide leadership in Information Governance
-Provide senior management with scheduled Information Governance reports
-By liaising with senior management ensure that any Data breaches are managed properly both externally and internally
-Develop Information Governance strategies
-Provide Information architecture design authority
-Establish and maintain excellent links with directorates and partner organisations
