The job

We are looking for experienced gangers / team leaders & pipe layers to join our delivery team in the South West Water region. You will work on our reactive minor works wastewater framework for our key client SWW. The work includes deep excavations, pipe-work repairs on the existing waste water network predominantly in the public highway.

You will work as part of a gang, reporting to the contract supervisor, on both reactive and planned schemes. You'll carry out repair / maintenance and upgrade work on all aspects of the sewer network, including Manholes, Gravity Sewers, and Rising Mains. Experience and knowledge of deep excavations and associated trench support systems and techniques is essential.

We have depots in Exeter and Bodmin, but you will work on projects across the South West Water region.

What you'll need

Your experience of repair and maintenance works, ground-works and pipe laying will need to be supported by knowledge of the utilities industry. The following qualifications would be advantageous, but are not essential as training will be provided for suitable candidates.
* CSCS card
* First Aid
* CAT and Genny
* Excavations and shoring
* NRSWA
* Health and Safety
* CPCS excavator < 10 tonne.
* Driving Licence categories B + E.
As the role will cover a large region, a full UK driving license is essential.
